ProctorU – Exam Rules

Exam Rules

 

You may use:

·         Material provided within the course. This applies to any items (such as ebooks, case studies, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) which may have been downloaded from the course. Usage of the internet for any other reason is strictly prohibited.

·         Blank paper and a pen/pencil, along with the course textbook, including ebooks and notes.

·         Microsoft Excel and Word to type answers.

·         A standalone calculator (such as an HP or TI calculator). Cell phone calculators are prohibited.

You may not:

·         Use the internet for any material not provided in the course.

·         Communicate with another adult or have anyone else in the room with you; with the exception of the ProctorU proctor. This includes the prohibition of cell phone use for any purpose.

·         Leave the room at any time during the exam.

·         Use other computers, tablets, or other devices other than a standalone calculator (see above).

·         Use removable media items (USB, flash keys, etc.).

·         Wear headphones or earbuds.

·         Install software during the exam.

Web-cam Rules:

·         The web-cam must be focused on the individual taking the exam at all times.

·         Nothing may cover the lens of the camera at any time during the exam.

·         Lighting must be “daylight” quality, and overhead light is preferred if at all possible. If overhead light is not possible, the light source should not be behind the student.
