Electronics I and Lab – Week #2 Tutorial3
Arbitrary Waveform Generator:
1. Connect the USB cable to the myDAQ and the PC.
2. Open Instrument Launcher and select ARBITRARY WAVEFORM GENERATOR.
3. The instrument looks like the image below.
4. Download the waveform files from the lab.
5. On the breadboard, connect the anode of Diode D1 to AO0, connect anode of Diode D2 to AO1. Connect one end of 2.2k ohm resistor to AGRD (analog ground) of the myDAQ.
6. Enable output channel 0 and 1 by putting a check mark in the enable boxes. Add the files to the generator by clicking on the folder, select the file.
Click the RUN button. The myDAQ will not create a smooth waveform but it will be a wave that is in steps but will be good enough to run the experiment to prove the theory. You will still be able generate a rectified waveform and eventually a DC output voltage when the filter capacitor is added.
